Bart Warner began his career working for his father at Rick Warner Ford in Salt Lake City in 1967. He worked in each department of his father’s dealership beginning with building clean-up and progressing through various positions at Rick Warner Ford/Truckland.
In 1996, Bart developed the 100 - acre Warner Truck Center which has grown to include the largest Freightliner dealership in the US with over 400 employees. He has represented manufacturers such as Wabash, Sterling, Western Star, Utah Tank & Trailer, TruckPro Leasing, Sprinter Vans, and Mac, Polar, Trail King & Traileze trailers.
Bart Warner’s service to the trucking industry include serving as National Ford Heavy Truck Dealer Council Chairman, speaking at the National Convention of the Independent Parts Council, the Heavy-Duty Manufacturing Association convention and H.D.A. He has served as an Executive Board member of the Utah Trucking Association and National Dealer Council – as the Policy Committee Chairman for Freightliner National Dealer Council.
He has served on the board of the Salt Lake / Tooele Applied Technology Center and operated a division SL Tooele ATC on the Warner Truck Center campus. He also served for two years on the Westminster MBA Curriculum Advisory Board and is currently on the Davis Applied Technology board.
He is currently operating and helping develop several companies in the Warner Truck Center, Utah Tank & Trailer, Warner Vans of Utah, which includes a Mercedes Benz- Van Center- Warner, Warner Van Rental & Wash, and an incubator enterprise called (TMB) “ The Merchant Bank” helping others start new businesses- providing banking and accounting services until they are “bankable”.
James joined the Utah Tank & Trailer team in 2016. He was young, hungry for the opportunity, and quickly developed an enthusiasm for the business and customer relations. This motivated him to gain the product knowledge necessary to grow Utah Tank & Trailer into the largest MAC LTT dealership on the West Coast. In 2021, James transitioned into the role of General Manager working hand in hand with Barry McKenzie, the Operations Manager, to build a strong foundation for growth. He has helped grow the business through effective communication skills and by hiring key individuals in the correct positions. His lighthearted personality makes him very approachable. He has grown with the business and has earned the respect and appreciation from his staff, vendors, and customer base.
Barry is considered the driving force behind Utah Tank & Trailer. Being one of the most tenured employees, he has dedicated his life to this business. With over 20 years of experience his opinions are influential and highly regarded by not only his peers but customers and competitors alike. In the early stages of Utah Tank & Trailer, Bart Warner our founder and owner, gave Barry the reigns to expand our business as he deemed fit. Barry took this task to heart and within a few years doubled the service shop and department. Barry is also one of the few team members that has performed every job and role within the company. From changing lightbulbs and setting up computer systems to creating processes and procedures crucial to the foundation of the business we know and love today.
Joe brings over 25 years of experience as a mechanic and foreman to his current role as service manager. Prior to joining Utah Tank in 2014, he worked in both fleets and commercial shops. Through this experience, he has built an extensive knowledge base about many different types of equipment including petroleum, chemical, and food-grade tank trailers. As someone who holds a Class A CDL and who has worked as a driver, Joe understands the urgency of the customer and organizes the shop to minimize down time. He is able to diagnose problems quickly and offers expertise to customers seeking complex repairs and system design. Joe never hesitates to put on coveralls and help out in the shop to ensure a job gets completed on time. He can also regularly be found in the shop training newer technicians and sharing welding tips.
John first joined our Utah Tank & Trailer team over 17 years ago. His expertise in tank & trailer parts is so unique in the commercial heavy equipment that even competitors call for his advice and expertise. John has helped the business earn the respect of the MAC LTT management team by knowing all their components, applications, as well as the best parts to stock in order to keep customers happy for repeat business. John is currently focusing on growing the business by passing down his experience and knowledge to the next generation of parts experts.

DJ Meek brings over a decade of experience in fabrication and nearly a decade in welding and heavy equipment service. As Service Manager at Utah Tank & Trailer, he helps lead day-to-day operations with a focus on quality work, efficiency, and keeping the team moving forward.
DJ began his career at Utah Tank & Trailer as a fabricator and CNC operator, picking up solid skills in TIG and MIG welding, custom builds, and hands-on fabrication. He’s also comfortable using TurboCAD to plan and sketch out custom projects.
He is a certified Utah State Inspector and is experienced in FMCSA compliance and cargo tank testing. DJ is deeply invested in the long-term success of the company and takes pride in supporting the growth and performance of the team around him. He’s also focused on building strong partnerships with customers and helping them succeed through reliable service and consistent results.
